HaLF-LIFE CHEATS

Find the icon that you click to play half-life. right click on it, a dialog box w/ options should come up... move the mouse to properties...a window should pop up... there should be a place on that window with the word "target" then a text box... in the text box, the file that is run to play half-life is there.. on my system, since i installed it to

C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\ (the default install directory), it looks like this:

C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\hl.exe

after "C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\hl.exe" APPEND "-console -dev" without the quotes to it. it should look like this:

C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\hl.exe -console -dev

Remember, *I* installed hl into c:\sierra\half-life\ *YOU* might not have.

if not, put your path to hl.exe in there.

Okay, start the game. After you enter the door to the lab (where the guard/receptionist is), hit the "`" key (same as the "~" key, but without the shift). you will see a console popup on the screen... (just like in quake, or quake2) type these codes EXACTLY how it is shown:

/noclip-No clipping mode

/impulse 101-Gain every weapon and a good amount of ammo, you can keep typing it if you want full ammo...

/map [map name]-Single-player Map select*

/map [map name]-Hazard Course Map select%

/map [map name]-DeathMatch (multi-player) Map select#

/thirdperson-Get a third person view of yourself, only works in single play.

/give [item name]-Obtain item^

e=mc2 trooper-get a futuristic trooper. who fires nuclear missles which explode when they hit.

flying dutchman-Turns all juggernaughts into flying dutchman (including your own).

gaia-Resign as your tribe leader, but now you take charge of all the animals.(cannot be reversed)

hoyohoyo-priest gets much faster and has 600 hit points (Note: you 1200 hit points if you type it in before you build the priest)

icbm-ballistae get 100 range points

jack be nimble-catapults fire peasants who do somersaults as they fly through the air.

medusa-All villagers will turn into a medusa unit (no difference in appearance or actions). When destroyed, the medusa will turn into a black rider, and when the black rider is killed, it turns into a heavy catapult.

nofog-Reveal map but not units

pepperoni pizza-Gain 1000 food

photon man-Deploys a nuke trooper at your town centre. (very destructive)

quarry-Gain 1000 stones

revealmap-Reveal map

steroids-instant build (type again to reverse)

woodstock-Gives you 1000 wood

Make Priests Have HP 1200 and Super Speed

Type HOYOHOYO before researching at the temple. One technology doubles hit points from 600 to 1200.

Use the following trick to rapidly enter the cheat codes and get resources quickly. For wood, press [Enter], type woodstock, highlight the word, then press [Ctrl] + C to copy it. Press [Enter] to activate the cheat. Press [Enter] again, then press [Ctrl] + V to paste the word on the screen for activation. Repeat to get resources quickly. This may be used with the quarry, coinage, pepperoni pizza, and photon man codes.
